Business Plan
In the face of mounting financial pressure faced by the Company the Bank insisted in calling in a firm of reporting accountants.
This was done on the basis of assessing Tanners prospects and for management to put together a business plan to address the challenges faced.
The Proposal
Index
1. Tanners projects a turnaround in profitability in the year to 31 March 1993 and a decreasing debt requirement.
Up to that time, the company requires the support of its bankers to continue the present overdraft facilities. The peak
overdraft arises in July 1992, but the company does not exceed the present facilities at any time. The loans will be repaid
on schedule by November 1992.
2. When the Crayford property is sold, which is expected in the year to 31 March 1994, Tanners will look to review its
overdraft facilities, and consider methods of financing further capital expenditure including the possibility of new equity.
